The Battle of Antioxidants VS Free Radicals

January 19, 2016

This week at The Real Food Academy, we're focusing on antioxidants to help you win the battle over free radicals' damage to your body that accumulates with age.

Today our Food for Thoughts features an article that reveals the benefits of antioxidant rich foods as we explore the impact of free radicals on the human body.

This week's adult class on Thursday is titled Rejuvenating Superfoods; For starters, we'll have Aloe Vera Juice, next we'll prepare an antioxidant rich Fresh Berries Salad with Home Made Vinaigrette, our entree will be a succulent Lemon Stuffed Branzino Whole Fish with Herbs with a side of Sautee Brussels Sprouts and for dessert, we'll make one of my favorites, Raw Chocolate and Chia Energy Bars. On Saturday, kids will make French Toast with Fresh Whipped Cream, an Egg and Vegetables Soufflé, also we'll prepare Deviled Eggs and for dessert, we'll make a delicious Strawberry and Banana smoothie.

It's fitting that this week's recipes also focus on boosting your antioxidant levels, so today, I want to share raw recipes that include a heart warming soup, a risotto with a seafood twist and for dessert, a simple sorbet that's sweet AND healthy! Scroll below to find out more or visit our website.

I look forward to seeing you on Thursday and Saturday, and hope you will continue to make healthy choices when choosing food to fuel your body - and soul!

Warm regards;

Chef Maria Cummins

We love it when our customers decorate our place. That said, you have no idea how difficult it is to clean these types of things up. As far as noisemakers go......you will be glad you left them at home as well. So please do not bring any of those things.
