As vegetarians(or not), we need to add protein to our bodies. The following recipe is "pumped" with plant-based proteins from beans, seeds and oats. As a vegetarian, this is one of my to go recipes when I want a burger (you don't need to be vegetarian in order to savor this baby!).  At The Real Food Academy, we have also made this recipe with hundreds of kids  and just after we got their seal of approval (kids can be harsh recipe judges) we decided on going public with it! TIP: Serve it with our Sweet and Tangy Coleslaw with Apples and top it with avocado slices and  sprouts. Next time you have a gathering  your guest will be impressed with your new plant-based burger!

ButterThis is an elegant holiday or any occasion Risotto recipe.  Perfect as a main dish or a side dish.  It all depends the occasion.

The Fresh Summer Bean Salad  is our version of the classic bean salad, we have added green and sugar snaps beans in a light basil vinaigrette for a twist. It’s light, full filling and packed with proteins and fiber. If you have extra time, try homemade beans instead of canned, you can make them ahead of time and keep them refrigerated, in their liquid for up to 3 days. This Homemade Greek Chicken Naan is our version of a Mediterranean pizza made on toasted Naan.This thin Indian flat bread is light and cooks rather quickly. You can find it in an Indian grocery store or in the ethnic area of your local market. If you cannot find it, it’s ok to substitute it for Pita bread. The homemade Hummus, chicken and Feta cheese will be your good proteins and the Aurugula and tomatoes the extra balance between crisp and sweet! Enjoy! I love Gazpacho! It's refreshing, light and goes well with BBQ's, cocktail parties and more! Kids and adults will have so much fun having this sweet and savory treat. Serve it chilled in shot glasses and garnish with Cilantro leafs & Lime wedges.

Rich in important antioxidants, flavonoids and dietary fiber, pears may help with weight loss and reduce the risk of developing cancer, hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease. Combine them with cabbage, toasted sunflower seeds and our citrus dressing for a perfect Spring Salad.

Fun to make, this easy recipe can be made ahead of time and reserved in the refrigerator for later cooking. It can be made gluten and nut free. Serve with our Raw Ketchup, some fresh greens and vegan cheese. For a twist you can also add sprouts, caramelized sweet onions, mushrooms, avocado or raw Thai slaw! This recipe cam be paired with Caramelized Onions and Blue Cheese.  It can be prepare as a Vegan Burger.  If cut into slices, these crispy rounds can be turned into fries when cut into strips.
