Smoothies have to be the easiest way to sneak a lot of healthy ingredients into you child’s diet.  The first thing you child will say after tasting this smoothie is “I cant taste the spinach”!  Don’t make the same mistake I did.  You will want to double or triple this recipe.  Because your child or children will certainly come back for more.   Chef Maria



1-2 cups Fresh Organic Spinach 1/2 cup diced Pineapple 1/2 Low-fat yogurt or Greek Yogurt 1 Kiwi, sliced 1 Banana, sliced 4-6oz of Coconut water, (I like ZICO Original or ZICO Pineapple coconut water for this one, SOBE makes a good one too!) FlaxSeeds or Flaxseed Oil


In a sandwich size bag, cut up banana, kiwi, pineapple, and yogurt to the sandwich bag and freeze overnight. In the morning, place your frozen smoothie in the microwave for 30 seconds, break up the frozen fruit and add to blender. Add 1-2 tablespoons of Flax Seeds or 1 tablespoon of Flax Seed Oil. Add 1-2 cups of loosely packed Spinach and blend! :)
