The classes are designed to be hands-on and interactive, allowing children to fully participate in the cooking process. The Real Food Academy takes care of all the details, including clean-up, so parents can relax while their children learn, play, and grow in a safe and supportive environment.

At The Real Food Academy, we transform every kids' birthday party into an extraordinary culinary adventure, making us one of the most sought-after childrens party venues. Our unique celebration combines fun, education, and hands-on cooking experiences, creating unforgettable moments for your child and their friends.
Don’t throw a birthday party that’s been thrown before! Pass on the pony rides and processed foods this year and throw a kids’ cooking class birthday party that’s as fresh and fulfilling as the food you’ll prepare. Our location welcomes up to 140 little chefs (and their parents) for a fun and delicious cooking birthday experience. Optionally, our mobile service can drive to a party location of your choice (additional charges apply).

No. All Payments and Deposits are non-refundable: When a payment or deposit is made, that day and time is no longer available to other customers on our calendar. For that reason, all payments and deposits are non-refundable.
In the case of a cooking class, the ingredients are shopped for and prepped in advance. Staff is also scheduled according to the number of people on the roster.
See our Wine and Beer list for your in-house kids party options. Optionally, you can bring your own wine or beer and page a corkage fee.
Corkage Fees
- $15 per 750 ml bottle of wine
- $30 per 1.5 L bottle of wine
Bring outside beer: $20 for beer (any quantity)
We love it when our customers decorate our place. That said, you have no idea how difficult it is to clean these types of things up. As far as noisemakers go......you will be glad you left them at home as well. So please do not bring any of those things.

Yes, for an extra charge we provide a variety of both savory and sweet food platters for the adults. To see your options, select a party package above, and the party platters available for adults are shown on the right side. You are welcome to provide the adults food yourself if you prefer.
There is no maximum number of kids. Our new space is huge!
Yes, we have lots of room. In fact, we offer additional services to make your stay at the party as much fun for you, as it is for the kids. Order from our Adult Party platters, bring wine, beer or other beverages (no hard alcohol please) and have a party within a party.

Yes, as long as they are accompanied by their parent who will provide their undivided attention to that child.
Yes, but for Executive and Top Chef parties only.
If a piñata is important to you and you have ordered a Budding Chef party, you can add $100 for the extra time and we will gladly welcome your piñata.
No. In our experience, most times the cake plates, napkins etc. will be part of a theme. We, along with the parents have found it better to leave this to the parents.
However we are more than happy to help in a pinch.

You will receive a series of emails from The Real Food Academy after you make the deposit. One of the emails will be regarding the Final Head Count. That form needs to be returned to us no later than 1 day before the party.
We are surrounded by lots of free parking. However, do not park in the CVS parking lot. You may be towed if you do. Also, if you park on the street you need to use the paybyphone app.
Absolutely! The space belongs to you during the hours that you booked the party. Feel free to decorate it however you like!
In some cases you can show up as early as 1 hour before your party time. In other cases that will not be possible due to parties or classes happening before your party. Every situation is different. If you feel you need to arrive a full hour before your party time please call 786-395-0355 to inquire.
No. An 18% service charge will be added to your bill. If our staff has gone above and beyond, an additional "gratuity" would be appreciated, but is not necessary.

In every lesson, we will travel around the world and prepare traditional dishes utilizing healthy ingredients (the ones that are good for you!) We will be offering lessons on breakfast, brunch, lunch, snacks, and dinner preparation.
How to Mise en Place
Organize your meal preparation ahead of time. This way you'll have more time to enjoy with family and friends and less time worrying about the actual cooking part of a meal.
Portion Control

The menus for our kids’ cooking class birthday parties in include meals that children of all ages will love to eat, but they’re made with real ingredients and healthy substitutions. Our Packages
Budding Chef Party Package: Ideal for the littlest chefs aged 3–6, our Budding Chef package offers two hours of hands-on cooking fun. Priced at $695, it includes up to 10 children, with each additional child at $30. In this package, children don adorable chef aprons and white paper hats, which they get to keep as souvenirs of their culinary journey. The menu is tailored to young tastes, featuring simple yet delightful recipes like spinach empanadas, ensuring every child can participate and enjoy.
Executive Chef Party Package: For children aged 7–12, our Executive Chef package is a popular choice. This package enhances the Budding Chef experience with an extended menu and additional cooking time. Priced at $895, it includes up to 10 children, with an additional $40 for each extra child. This package allows children to delve deeper into the cooking experience, creating more complex dishes and fostering a true appreciation for cooking.
Top Chef Party Package: Aimed at children aged 9–14, the Top Chef package offers a comprehensive culinary experience. For $1195, up to 10 children can enjoy 2.5 hours of cooking, with each additional child at $50. This package includes all the features of the Executive Chef option, plus access to our full menu, allowing older children to challenge themselves with more advanced recipes.
Cake Decorating Party: For an additional touch of creativity, our Cake Decorating Party, suitable for ages 9–14 and priced at $1795, includes up to 10 children, with each additional child at $95. This package offers a hands-on cake decorating experience, where each child gets a vanilla and buttercream cake to embellish with their artistic flair, alongside all the necessary tools and materials.
